Each year members of St. Andrew’s URC nominate charities that the church will support through the year via various fund raising events organised by the Activities team and through other collections. Our charities for 2014 were:
An impressive £945 was raised to be shared equally between the three charities. Representatives from each charity came to St. Andrew’s on 22nd February 2015 to receive cheques for £315 each and gave short speeches of thanks along with updates on how the money would be used.
Church members will be selecting charities to support throughout 2015 in the near future and we’ll provide an update soon.
