A Lenten Resource

A Resource for Lent

Dear Friends,

As wee present to mark my first day as the URC’s Digital Minister, the Rev’d David Coleman, Chaplain to Eco Congregations Scotland has offered five video reflections for Lent. These could take the place of, or complement, sermons in worship, be used for online gatherings, and/or used for mid-week groups discussion starters.

David takes the familiar Lectionary readings out and about into the Scottish landscape and sets them against the backdrop of the climate crisis with insights from the COP conference in Glasgow last year.

These will be ready to download from the DD webpage, and Vimeo, in the next few days but I wanted to give you some notice of what’s available.

You can see the Week 2 offering here https://vimeo.com/673271625  That will give you an idea of David’s style and the content of the videos.  Once the others are ready I will let you know but thought if you, or your church, were thinking of some Lenten activity these might be a good starting place.
