Today is Ash Wednesday.
As we move into the penitential time of Lent, it is right that part of the journey we take is one of seeking forgiveness from God, for reflecting on the ways in which we may not always live our lives in the way God would like us to live, and for coming into this reflective season with openness of heart and mind.
Tonight’s reflective service will seek to begin this season for us – by bringing us before God in time of Confession, and by helping us to commit to the Lenten journey, individually and together as a community. We will have some readings from the bible, some prayers, some moments of silence, some time for reflection, and some time to engage with making our own journey into Lent.
