We are extremely pleased to announce that at an Extraordinary Church Meeting held on Sunday 3rd May 2015, church members voted to call Mr Matthew Prevett to become our new minister, with 76 votes in favour and 9 against from 85 voting members (89.4% in favour). Matthew cordially accepted the call, so is confirmed to be ordained and inducted as the next minister of St. Andrew’s United Reformed Church.
The call consists of ministry to St. Andrews (75%) and ministry within the URC’s Northern Synod (25%). To quote Matthew: “I’m enthusiastic about the chance to minister in this congregation and around the Synod and the many challenges and opportunities that the coming months and years will bring.”
Further details of Matthew’s service of ordination and induction will be forthcoming, but it is anticipated this will be in October 2015.
